Helena’s creeks and river are a big part of its charm, and a big factor in how its lots should be graded and drained. We handle the site work, concrete and remodeling with one licensed crew.
The Cahaba River and Buck Creek both run through Helena, with Buck Creek flowing right past Old Town. Water shapes a lot of properties here, from low yards that stay soggy for days to slopes that send runoff straight toward the house. Good grading and drainage is often the first step before a patio, addition or new driveway goes in.
Helena has also grown quickly, with established subdivisions like Old Cahaba and newer ones like Hillsboro alongside the historic homes near Old Town. Whether you’re updating a kitchen, adding on, or finally fixing the water problem in the backyard, we handle the outside and inside work as one project.
Common projects we take on in Helena:
Regrading, drains and swales for yards that hold water or send it toward the house.
Walls that control erosion and level sloped lots near creeks and ravines.
Clearing and site prep for new homes, additions and outbuildings.
Driveways, patios and slabs on properly graded, well-drained ground.
Kitchens, baths, additions and whole-home renovations.
Tear-downs and selective demo ahead of rebuilds and renovations.
Our owner is an engineer with 22+ years in the field, so every project is planned for structural integrity, durability, and efficiency.
Excavation, grading, drainage, concrete and remodeling under one licensed general contractor, so nothing falls between separate companies.
Clear, consistent communication from first call to final walkthrough, and every call returned within two business days.
We serve customers in both English and Spanish, so everyone feels confident and understood throughout the project.

Usually a lot. We find where the water is coming from and where it wants to go, then fix it with regrading, French drains, swales or a combination. See our grading and drainage services.
Properties near Buck Creek or the Cahaba River may have floodplain or setback rules that affect what can be built and where. We plan with those in mind, and it’s worth checking with the City of Helena early in the process.
